Did you know that Snowmen have been around since the Middle Ages? They were winter effigies built to look human and thought to actually posses a soul. So the story of Frosty the Snowman is pretty spot on historically speaking. Grieving people would sculpt them to look like ancestors who had passed away, hoping for the opportunity to speak with their departed once again. The circular more cartoon looking Snowmen didn’t evolve until the 1930s when making human looking Snowmen sounded too much like witchcraft and became heavily frowned upon.The tradition of snowmen carrying a broom came from children sweeping a path of snow in a mound in order to make a Snowman and instead of bringing the broom back inside, they made it part of the Snowman. Lazy kids! And people would decorate their Snowmen with carrots, nuts, berries and seeds for the birds, fox, deer and other animals to eat during the harsh winter months. And scarves and hats were left out for the homeless or those less fortunate. Isn’t that a lovely gesture!My Frosty the Snowman candle was made to honor the soul of the Snowman. *The glitter on the top of the candle glows in the dark. Simply place your candle under the sun or lamp for 1 minute to get your best results.

*The Tree will be laying sideways on the candle. When you unwrap it simply place the Tree in the divot of wax where it appears in the photo. Remember, you MUST remove all flammable objects before lighting your candle. 


You must remove ALL decorations before lighting your candle. If giving as a gift make sure and tell them to do the same. Always burn on a fire safe plate away from pets, children and anything flammable. Trim the wick before each burn and never burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
